The gravel drive was brought to the top of the hill near the build site. The ground was scraped around the house location and the foundation was marked for digging. It may be a couple weeks before the foundation can be dug due to scheduling and weather issues. This time of year is normally rather dry but 2022 has other ideas.
Fortunately previous owners of the property had done some prep work on the driveway and not as much work was necessary to get it to this stage. What was necessary was to clear the over ground soil then come back with several loads of crush and run gravel. This fine layer of gravel will compact down and create a solid base for driving the construction trucks up and down to get to the home site.
Below is the home site itself. Everything was cleared so the foundation could be dug in preparation to put the footers in for the house. Progress!
